Aerospace Program Begins

The Aerospace Flight Simulator Program begins Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Elm Grove Middle School. All Eighth grade students will attend Aerospace during their science class. They will be given two tests worth 100 points each, a written test (multiple choice) and a flight test (hands on test on the flight simulator).   The grades will be averaged into their Science grade for the semester.  An awards assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 12:45 pm. in the Elm Grove Middle School gym.  The top three students will receive medallions (Gold, Ace of Aces; Silver, Academic Ace; and Bronze, Flight Ace). Students that attain a 97% average or higher will receive a certificate and be inducted into the Bossier Parish Flight simulator hall of fame. An Aerospace Art contest will be held and the top three entries will receive ribbons and prizes.   The Aerospace program will resume at Elm Grove Middle in Fall of 2013 in which time the current seventh graders will attend the program during their eighth grade year.  Just to clear up a common question, “the trailer does not fly”!! The students will fly a flight simulator.
