Teachers

Penny Asseff (759-2130) - graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education from NSU in 1993. She went on to earn her Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision of Instruction from Centenary College. She eventually earned her Plus 30 while obtaining her Gifted and Talented Certification. Penny began her teaching career in Caddo Parish teaching anything from grades 1st thru 4th. She eventually moved to Bossier City with her husband, Doug, and began teaching at Apollo in 2008.  While at Apollo, she taught 5th and 3rd grade and even taught in the library for two years.  She has two sons, Aidan, 12, and Avery, 11, who attend Cope Middle School. Penny and her husband are HUGE Saints fans and love to travel the country attending games. She is looking forward to a new and exciting adventure at W.T. Lewis as she begins her 25th year of teaching!!

 

Rene McClure-Harris (759-2125) - graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Northeast Louisiana University in 1988 and a Masters degree in Supervision of Instruction from Centenary College in 1994. A few years later, she added on gifted certification from LSUS.  This is Rene’s 30th year of teaching.  Her experience has been earned in Caddo and Bossier Parishes in upper elementary including gifted education. Rene lives with her husband Brent on Cypress Lake in Benton.  Kyle, her son, is 22 years old and just bought his first home in Blanchard.  She is a member of the Simple Church.  When she is not teaching, she loves to shop, fish, cheer on the Dallas Cowboys, and spend time with her family and friends.

 

Courtney Moak-Stephens (759-2126) - graduated from LSU in 2001 with a degree in general studies. She received her alternate teaching certification and an M.Ed. with a gifted certification from LSUS. Ms. Moak-Stephens has taught every grade level from pre-k to twelfth. She is certified in secondary English, gifted education, and supervision. This begins Ms. Moak-Stephens's fifteenth year of teaching. She met her husband Joey playing pool, and they have two children, Calan and Joston. They love to travel as a family.

 

Rich Richardson (759-2129) - graduated from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 2003 with a bachelors of science degree in Early Childhood Education. Rich has taught 12 years with 3 years in Arkansas, then at Apollo, Waller, and Bossier Parish's Gifted Center at Stockwell. He and his wife Kassie have been married for 9 years and have two beautiful and “full-of-life” children. Their son Karson is a 1st grader at W.T. and their daughter Elizabeth is 17-months old. He enjoys spending time together as a family, worshiping at First Bossier, teaching, and anything Razorbacks.
