• About Accounting

    Accounting Part I is an introduction to accounting principles and methods for financial data gathering and reporting. At the end of this course, the student will describe the basic principles and terminology used in accounting; record typical business transactions for a proprietorship; and the major components of the financial statements for a proprietorship

    Accounting Part II is an introduction to accounting principles and methods for data gathering and presentation for evaluation and decision-making by management. At the end of this course, the student will record typical business transactions for a corporation; describe the major components of the corporation's financial statements, apply basic financial statement analytical procedures; and describe the basic uses of accounting information by management.  

    These courses are the requirements of all college students seeking degrees in business, including accounting, finance, marketing, management, and others. Many other fields of study require accounting including some engineering programs.
