• About Career and Technical Educational Internship

    This course will assist students in developing a well-rounded background in the skills common to all industries, developing leadership and teamwork capabilities, and working with the technology needed for specific employment skills.  Students will be prepared to successfully seek, apply, interview, secure, and keep a job.

  • Entry Requirements:

    Technology School Entrance Exam
    Senior Only
    Have transportation to class at the Technology School and to the workplace
    Complete application for the course (available online or from home school counselor)
    Attend CTEI class at BPSTIL every day either 1st or 2nd block
    Maintain employment for the entire semester

    Personal development and self-assessment
    Workplace ethics
    Communication
    Time Management
    Conflict Resolution
    Customer Service
    Employment procedures
    Career Portfolio-resume, cover letter, interview techniques, follow-up letters

     There is a CTEI I and CTEI II course.

  • Additional Course Information

    Junior or Senior Only

    Students must attain 180 work hours to earn 1 high school credit and 360 work hours to earn 2 high school credits.

    Only one-course block instead of two-course blocks.
