About Cooperative Marketing Education
This course is a school School-to-Work Program for Juniors and Seniors. This course is evaluated for the entire school year. Students must be enrolled in both the fall and spring semesters. Students will also be members of the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). DECA is an international organization for business students. DECA membership dues are included in the $50 class fee. This fee is for both the fall and spring semesters.
Students enrolled in Cooperative Marketing receive course credit for successful completion of classroom academics in the course in which they are enrolled and on-the-job training through this course. Students work under the guidance of the marketing teacher/facilitator in collaboration with community members/business representatives who serve as on-the-job trainers. Students are evaluated both in the classroom and at the work site for job performance. Students are required to have their own transportation.
Customer Service and Sales This credential also serves as a complementary credential on a variety of graduation pathways.
