    Biography

    Hello, my name is Charles Adams.  I am the instructor for Work Place Safety. I have previously worked in the oilfield as a driller offshore. Most recent oilfield position was that as a safety trainer for a local drilling contractor and my duties consisted of training all new hires as well as refresher courses for current employees in the area of OSHA and safety. Before my employment as a safety trainer, I was a high school Business teacher in Rapides Parish for 13 years. The majority of my teaching time in Rapides consisted of Business Computer Applications (Microsoft Office). Prior to teaching, I was the Compliance Officer for a bank located in Many, La. This position consisted of staying abreast of the banking regulations as well as training employees of the bank in reference to the regulations relevant to their respective position and along with this I performed audits for regulatory matters.

    I have lived in Bossier City for 8 years, prior to my move here I resided in Pineville, LA for 16 years. I am originally from Many, La. Later on, in life, I went back to school and earned my Teaching Certificate which entitled me to teach Business subjects in high school settings.

    I am currently married to my wife Barbara. I have one son and two grandsons, who reside in Denver, Co. and my wife has 3 children and 9 grandchildren that live in the Oakdale, La area.

    I enjoy playing golf and I am an avid Dallas Cowboys and Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
