    Biography

Hi! My name is Katherine Jones and I am the Criminal Justice instructor at BPSTIL. I graduated from Benton High School in 2013. Following graduation, I moved to Baton Rouge to begin my college education at Louisiana State University. I graduated from LSU in December of 2016 with a B.A. in Communications Disorders. I began my graduate work at LSU Allied Health, focused on speech pathology when I decided I needed a change. I come from a long line of educators. Both of my grandmothers, my grandfather, and my mother have been in the teaching profession. After accepting a long-term substitute position for the course in the spring 2018 semester, I knew I had found the career path for me. Criminology has always been a passion of mine, and to teach it every day has been a dream come true. I truly love what I do, and look forward to the many opportunities ahead.
