    Biography

I am a Shreveport/ Bossier native, married since 1983, and have two children. I was introduced to collision repair during the summer of 1974 and began rebuilding totaled insurance vehicles and selling them as a hobby. I later decided to work toward owning my own business and finally purchased a commercial property and building in 1986. I officially opened the business in January of 1987. As the business developed I began to see an opportunity in the heavy truck collision field and began building a commercial fleet clientele as well as insurance auto and light truck business. We began to service truck dealerships such as International Navistar, Peterbilt, Freightliner, and  Mack, as well as Coca Cola, USA trucks, FedEx  and Barksdale AFB among other locally-owned fleet businesses. From 1987 I have been ASE certified and also became a member of the Northwest Collision Repair Association in which I have served as Vice president and on the executive board and now serving as President.  I was privileged to be involved in the committee to bring I-Car training to the Shreveport Bossier area. In February of 2009, I decided to sell the business property and started contract damage appraisal work for an independent adjusting company. I came to the Bossier Parish Technical School, now known as The Bossier Parish School for Technology and Innovative Learning in August of 2010 and have placed several students in the collision repair industry. My goal is to help students who are interested in the industry receive the training to be successful in a field that is wide open for new technicians and a lucrative career.
