Being involved and engaged can mean a lot of different things. It is up to you to decide what is right for you. You can be involved:
- At home
- You don’t need to be an education expert to help your child by:
- Encouraging learning
- Promoting a healthy lifestyle
- Communicating openly and regularly

- There are several ways you can get involved at your child’s school:
- Go to parent-teacher conferences
- Attend special events
- Share your knowledge and experience through volunteer activities

Although you may not have much free time, there are still ways to be involved with your child’s school!
As a parent, you can make your voice heard within the community. Your involvement may help your child’s school receive additional support, which may lead to the following:

- More volunteering in schools and other assistance from community members
You can benefit, too! Involvement in the community can lead to new friendships and professional contacts.
