Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer Program
Dear Parents,

Louisiana was recently approved for the new Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) program, which provides extra help buying groceries for families who normally receive free and reduced-price meals at school. This includes all families attending a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school. To receive these benefits, families must complete an application on the application portal. The application portal went live on Monday, and despite heavy traffic slowing the site in the morning, nearly 120,000 applications were successfully approved within the first 24 hours.
