  • WELCOME TO OUR MILITARY FAMILIES

Bossier Parish Schools takes great pride in helping our Department of Defense families have a smooth transition into our school system.  Bossier Parish is very cognizant of the unique needs of our military students and their families, and works to help these families navigate their journey to a new school system.

All Bossier Parish schools have a person on campus who is designated as the military student contact. Several of the schools have organizations or clubs specifically designed for our military students, and six of our seven high schools offer outstanding AFJROTC programs.  All Bossier Parish schools recognize April as the month to honor our military students. Each school has a variety of distinctive recognition events to let each student know he/she is supported by his/her school and district.

Your student’s academic success along with his/her social/emotional wellbeing is our top priority.  Welcome to Bossier Parish Schools, and we look forward to our partnership with you and your student.

Bossier Parish Schools, in conjunction with the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, has been awarded the Military Community Champion distinction for all of our work with our military-connected students and families.  We are very excited to have received this distinction and will continue to strive to meet the unique needs of our military-connected students.

  • Congratulations to T.L. Rodes librarian, Mrs. Brimer who wrote a grant to build a military family section in the school's library.  Mrs. Brimer's grant was selected and fully funded.  We are so excited for them!
