The health and physical education program is designed to teach students the skills, knowledge and attitudes essential to live a healthy lifestyle and select healthy and safe behaviors. Health education content includes: alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention education, mental health education, nutrition education, personal and community health and safety; lifetime survival skills, health and lifestyle, first aid, CPR, and disease and the human body.

Health Education 1/2 credit
This course emphasizes knowledge, skills and understanding that enable students to develop healthy lifestyles as they move from adolescence to adulthood.

These courses include instruction in sports skills, recreational activities, individual and team sports, and health-related fitness. The curriculum enables students to understand the lifelong benefits of a physically active lifestyle.
