W.T. Lewis is committed to supporting our military students through our Student 2 Student (S2S) program, services through our Military Family Life Counselor, celebrating the month of the military child, & our Military Club called Brave Bulldogs! 

W.T. Lewis Elementary is one of Louisiana's first schools to receive the Purple Star School designation from the Louisiana Department of Education! Mrs. Burns attended the BESE meeting in Baton Rouge in April 2023, where the first schools to receive this special distinction were recognized. The Purple Star School award is given in recognition of schools that show a major commitment to serving students and families connected to the United States Armed Forces. We love serving our military families, and we feel honored to be part of their journey!
