2019-2020 SMART Program Concludes Early Due to COVID-19
Posted 5/19/20

Smart StudentsEach year, the Bobbie Cates Hicks Science and Medicine Academic Research Training (SMART) program provides a year-long research experience with investigators at LSU Health Shreveport for a small group of academically advanced high school seniors who have a career interest in medicine, biomedical research or biomedical engineering.

While this year's program was shortened for this group of seniors due to COVID-19, they have gained invaluable experience since their research began in 2019.

Congratulations to Bossier Parish students Dario Cosic, Parkway; Cade Gaydon, Benton High; and Kayla Lynch, Benton High, and best of luck in your future endeavors!
