Bossier Schools believes in the "Power of We." What does that mean? When we work together,  so much good can be accomplished. Case in point: the district's recent "Month of Service."

The United Way of Northwest Louisiana recently shared some exciting news. Overall, our schools and centers collected 10,000 essential items valued at more than $16,000 in economic support for numerous non-profit organizations in Shreveport/Bossier. Now THAT is the "Power of We!"

They also announced this year's Most Spirited Team. Drum roll, please … congratulations to Bellaire Elementary, which collected 2,020 pounds (no joke) of food for the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

Honorable Mentions for most spirited went to Haughton High School’s Student Council, which adopted the MLK Health Center and Pharmacy, and the Bossier Parish School Board, which adopted the VOA Bossier Lighthouse.

Bossier Schools applauds everyone involved in this year’s Month of Service. We love to see how our students and employees come together to serve others and make our community an even better place to call home.
