• About Shaunda Burns

    Biography:

I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years. I started my nursing career as a CNA and am extremely grateful for that experience. I graduated with my LPN license and worked for a couple of years as an LPN while I went to RN school. I graduated with my Associate Degree in Nursing from Salt Lake Community College. A few years later I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. I have worked in many different areas in the hospital but came to love cardiac care and worked in a step-down ICU unit for many years. I previously taught the CNA program at BPCC. I love being a teacher and a nurse. It truly is the best of both worlds.

My family and I moved to Bossier City in 2013. We are a military family who has lived in many different states but chose to settle here. We have six children ranging from middle school to college age. I enjoy reading books, serving in the community, and attending my children’s sports and school events. "
