• Signups for the coming football season will be done on Aug. 12 and 13, the first 2 days of school. Players will receive all paperwork and permission slips at that time. The tryout schedule will be as follows:

    8th grade—Aug 16,17  3:00-4:30

    7th grade—Aug 18,19  3:00-4:30

    You can now begin the process of updating your students information for the 21-22 school year in your OnCourse Parent Portal. Your student WILL NOT be able to view their schedule for their upcoming school year after August 1 if this is not completed. 
    Any previous HMS student or our incoming 6th graders from HES and Princeton will have to complete the update. This has to be done YEARLY. 
    Registration is now open for all NEW STUDENTS as well! 
    **Any student/parent who will be utilizing a Declaration of Residency will need to physically come to the school to complete their process WITH the homeowner. This CANNOT be done online.**

  • HMS Cross Country Tryouts: May 26th

    Who- Current 5th-7th grade students

    What- Cross Country Tryouts

    When- May 26th @ 3:30-4:15 (HMS students will stay after school)

    Where- HMS athletic fields behind the school

    15-20 runners per grade will make the Cross Country team.
    Students will stretch, run short warm up drills, and end with a timed one-mile run.


    TEAM INFO: Runners will practice during the summer at HMS or South Bossier Park once per week (day and time TBD).  The season begins in late August and ends in early October.  Practice will be after school until 4:15.  There are a minimum of four competitions against other Bossier Parish schools at South Bossier Park.  Meets are on Thursdays, and 6th graders will run 1 mile and 7-8th graders will run 1.5 miles.
