Back-to-School Night Scheduled for Military Families

Military families have been on the move this summer, meaning there will be many new faces at school this year that we are eager to meet, as well as returning ones we cannot wait to greet.

Bossier Schools is hosting Military Family Support Back-to-School Night for military families from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 28 at Bossier Instructional Center, located at 2719 Airline Drive in Bossier City. Personnel will be on hand to answer questions and disseminate information as well as help ease school  transitions and register new students.

Food trucks will be set up in the parking lot and there will be student entertainment inside, as well as school booths. A question and answer session is scheduled from 5:30-6 p.m. and representatives from the Special Education department and Child Nutrition will also be on hand to answer questions and help parents sign up their children for the school meal program.

Back-to-School Night is designed to be a one-stop shop before school starts. For more information, contact the Military Family Support department at (318) 549-6813.

We hope to see all of our military families there!
