Benton High 11th grader Payton Prichard is getting the opportunity to do something that few do; represent Louisiana as a 4-H National Conference Delegate in Arlington, VA.
Each year, 4-H members in the 10th and 11th grades are able to apply to serve as delegates. Only four members in each state get the chance to represent Louisiana in this two-year capacity and Prichard is one of them.
In mid-April, she will head east for the national conference where she will have a voice in the future of Louisiana 4-H and learn how to advocate for community causes she cares about. It is considered the pinnacle experience in 4-H civic engagement.
Bossier Schools is proud of Prichard’s heart for service and excited she will be representing not only the parish, but the entire state.
