Summer Meal Boxes

* Bossier Schools will be fueling your summer superheroes with free, nutritious meals that will be offered weekly starting Tuesday, June 11 at four drive-through sites.

* Any child 18 years of age and younger is eligible for the summer meal boxes, regardless of income. Each box will contain seven breakfasts and lunches that are kid-friendly, meet nutritional guidelines and are shelf stable, so they do not have to be refrigerated or heated.

* This program is being offered at no cost to families by the USDA Summer Food Service Program and administered by Bossier Schools Child Nutrition department. Parents or guardians will need to complete this registration form for each child or scan the QR code in the graphic below.

* Once registration is complete, parents or students can pick up a summer meal box between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. every Tuesday until July 30 at either Benton Middle, Haughton Middle, W.T. Lewis Elementary or Parkway High School.

* The summer meal boxes are being provided as part of a federal feeding program to USDA-designated rural schools, although any child is eligible to receive them. The summer meal boxes are separate from the SUN Bucks/summer EBT cards and will not affect eligibility in either program.
