Group of school and Chamber dignitaries cut the ribbon in front of the Parent Center

With the snip of a ribbon, Bossier Schools celebrated the grand reopening of its newly relocated and reimagined Parent Center at 2723 Airline Drive in Bossier City.

Although the Parent Center has been in operation for nearly three decades, its previous location was not as readily accessible. The centralized location is, and there is a city bus stop nearby, better enabling families to take advantage of the services offered.

Since opening its doors at the start of the 2025-26 school year, the staff at the Parent Center has already helped more than 150 families register their children, assisted with technical support and provided educational resources.

The Parent Center is an inviting resource hub that is open to all Bossier Parish students in PreK to 12th grades. Families can access valuable support to help their children succeed academically, from educational games and books, to testing materials, social and emotional learning resources and parental guidance. There is also a computer lab for parents to use and hot spots are available to be checked out for those lacking wi-fi access at home. In the coming weeks, Parent Center Facilitator Erin May and Valerie Gomez will be offering PreK field trips and parent workshops.

The goal of the Parent Center is to strengthen the school/family partnership so that children succeed academically. Appointments can be made here, although walk-ins are welcome. Hours for the Parent Center are during school hours Monday-Friday.
