The 2026 season was a big win for Benton High Soccer and Head Coach Jesse Dyer, who scored both on and off the field this season.
The Louisiana Soccer Association recently named Dyer the Impact Coach of the Year for High School Soccer at its 40th anniversary fete in Baton Rouge. The award recognizes a coach who has had meaningful impact or improvement on a school’s program over time, as well as growth and positive influence.
Since taking over as head coach of Benton Lady Tigers Soccer, the team has seen historic success, including multiple college signings, All-Stars, first-time wins over local programs, and repeated playoff appearances, resulting in an impressive record of 62 wins, 25 losses and 10 draws. Over the past two years, Benton has ranked in the top five in Division I girls’ soccer going into the playoffs.
The positive influence Coach Dyer has had and the unwavering commitment shown are undeniable, making him beyond deserving of this honor. Congratulations to Coach Dyer.
