Bossier Schools was in the spotlight recently in the nation’s capitol for supporting those that serve.
The U.S. Department of War extended an invitation to Human Resources Executive Director Teri Howe and Recruitment and Retention Supervisor Dr. Tracey Burrell to attend the 2026 Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) Annual Partner Meeting in Washington DC to be recognized as new partners, and for the role Bossier Schools has taken on to create opportunities for military spouses.
This partnership enables the district to join a select group of businesses and organizations to recruit military spouses from across the globe to Start, Stay and Soar in Bossier Schools.
Howe participated in the New Member Induction Ceremony, which brought together leaders and partners who are shaping the future of military spouse employment. There she was able to have meaningful conversations and connect with peers, have a thoughtful exchange of ideas, and collaborate on strategies to expand employment opportunities that empower military spouses.
Military-connected families are near and dear to Bossier Schools, and it is an honor to support them anyway we can, whether their stop here is temporary or they put down roots and stay.
