Good afternoon! After a briefing today with the National Weather Service and Bossier Parish emergency agencies, Bossier Schools will be open Thursday, January 9. However, the YEP program will be canceled and all extracurricular and after-school activities will be postponed until a later time.
We will continue to carefully monitor the forecast and provide an update at 4 p.m. Thursday regarding school operations on Friday.
Stay tuned for further information and remember, if you do not already have the Bossier Schools district app, this is a great time to download it so you will get updates from the district in real time. Here’s how to find it:

Bossier Schools is on winter weather watch for the next two days, closely monitoring the forecast with the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and staying in close contact with the National Weather Service. We are meeting again today and will provide an update at 3 p.m. this afternoon regarding any adjustments to Thursday’s school schedule.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office food drive was a success at BEC. The faculty, staff, and students filled the barrels with canned goods and non-perishable food items.

All Bossier Schools and Centers will be closed on Tuesday, November 5 for Election Day.


On October 23rd, students from BEC participated in a site visit to McElroy Metal's Bossier City facility, where one student was selected to assist a line worker.




On Oct 24, Level-Up focused on the 4P's of Dating: Plan, Prepare, Participate, and Protect. We appreciate Ms. Andranell Williams' insightful presentation to our young ladies.
