Thursday's are for the Level Up Ladies at BEC!! For the month of September, the topic that was focused on was Self Love. Thank you guest speaker Joanne Harris for speaking to our young ladies Thursday, September 19th.
We look forward to these moments and times with our students and helping them grow personally and as a whole!

BOSSIER SCHOOLS: Parents/Guardians, we want to make you aware that a parish-wide lockdown drill will take place this morning, Friday, September 13 at all schools to practice emergency safety procedures. This is only a drill.
The BULLDOG to brag about for middle school is Korbyn Bradberry. Korbyn is in the 6th grade at BEC. Korbyn is very respectful, courteous, and motivates others. Korbyn was nominated by his teachers.
Our drumline held their first practice on September 10th under the direction of Coach Winbush. Great job Bulldogs 🎶🥁

Our latest episode features the first day of school through the eyes of our youngest scholars, updates about new literary standards every third grade parent needs to know, and important information regarding the roll out of our new enhanced weapons detection system that will be in place at all home games.
The BULLDOG to brag about for high school is Savannah Jeter. Savannah in the 11th grade at BEC. She is focused, determined, and very respectful. She was nominated by her teachers:)
The BULLDOG to brag about for middle school is Killian Lake. Killian is in the 7th grade at BEC. He works very hard in class. and completes all his assignments on time. Killian was nominated by his teachers:)

The BEC Pride Academy met for the first time today! Pride Academy is a bootcamp style program focused on physical training, mentoring, and character education. The mission of Pride Academy is to reclaim the potential of at-risk youth through the program. One of the many benefits is that the students will be able to earn an early return to their home based school.
Special thanks to Mark Rodie and Allie Hammett with the Lovewell Center at Cumberland Farms for donating backpacks w/ school supplies.📓📚✏️🎒

Bossier Schools has revised its cell phone policy in response to a new state law that restricts students from using cell phones and other electronic devices during the instructional day. Please note the following revisions:
Cell phones must be turned off and stowed during instructional time, including from the time students get on/off the bus or in/out of a personal vehicle while on campus;
Electronic communication devices, including but not limited to personal computers, laptops, electronic instruments, iPads, iPods, tablet devices, e-readers or similar devices, must be powered off and properly stowed for the duration of the school day.
Each violation will result in the collection of the cell phone/electronic device. More information regarding disciplinary action can be found in school handbooks.
*Please note the revised policy does not apply to students who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP)/Individualized Accommodation Plan (IAP), Section 504 plan or Individualized Health Plan that requires use of an electronic telecommunication device.
