This week we will have different practices occurring at the same time. Please look at the map below to know where you need to park. Please back into your parking spot for safety issues. Coaches will walk students to the designated areas. We ask that you do not begin leaving the parking lot until students have loaded all vehicles to ensure the safety of all students.
Please plan to join us for our Back to School Night on August 26. This evening will provide you with the opportunity to walk through your child's schedule.
It begins in your child's 1st period class at 5:30. This is a great opportunity to learn the expectations of HMS, subject specific expectations, and different ways to support your student.
The format of this evening is geared towards parents, If your child attends this evening with you, he/she will be required to stay with you. Due to the time restraints this will be for informational purposes and will not allow for parent teacher conferences at this time. You will need to schedule those for a different time with your teachers.
Camp Buccaneer covered this information in July for 6th grade. You are still welcome to attend if you need to. 7th and 8th grade parents this is your opportunity to hear the expectations for your grade level.

Calling all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders!
Do you have a passion for running or want to try something new? Do you love to push yourself and also your teammates? Come tryout for the Cross Country team!
We're looking for dedicated students who are ready to push their limits, build endurance, work hard, and have fun. Cross Country is a fantastic way to improve your fitness, make new friends, and learn what you're truly capable of as an individual athlete as well as a teammate.
Here's what you need to know:
Mandatory Practices: We'll hold after-school practices to get ready for our meets. These will be held several days a week after school until 4:30.
Saturday Meets: There will be a commitment for several Saturdays due to meets. Please plan accordingly as attendance is at meets is mandatory.
We'll be racing against other schools and showing off our hard work!
Eligibility: To try out, you must be in be academically and behaviorally eligible. Grades and behavior are based on the 4th quarter of the 24-25 school year. If you have questions, you can see the 6th grade counselor, Mrs. Addison.

Only 3 sleeps left until Camp Buccaneer!
Please make sure that you have completed their 25-26 Annual Registrations by logging into your OnCourse Parent Portal. If these have not been completed, your student will NOT have access to their schedule for Camp Buccaneer.
You will receive an automated email when you submit it and then will receive another automated email when we have successfully processed it. Please check your email frequently because annual registrations will be returned with instructions if there are any changes that need to be completed by you.
**PLEASE NOTE: EACH REGISTRATION HAS TO BE PROCESSED INDIVIDUALLY. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.
