Plain Dealing High School Welcomes Coach Jared Pickett to the Lion Family

Plain Dealing, LA — Plain Dealing High School is proud to welcome Coach Jared Pickett to our growing team of athletic leaders. With deep local roots and a passion for student-athlete development, Coach Pickett brings valuable experience and a heart for mentorship to our campus.

A proud graduate of North Webster High School (Class of 2013), Coach Pickett was a four-year starter at right guard for the Knights football team. After high school, he transitioned into coaching, spending three years leading the offensive line at Glenbrook School in Minden. Now, he joins Plain Dealing, continuing his commitment to academic and athletic excellence.

Coach Pickett is also a devoted father to three wonderful children—Oliver, John, and Chloë June. He approaches coaching with the same dedication he brings to fatherhood, fostering an environment where young athletes can grow into confident, disciplined, and respectful leaders both on and off the field.

“We are thrilled to have Coach Pickett join the Lion family,” said Principal Jason Edwards. “His local ties, coaching experience, and genuine commitment to our students make him a tremendous addition to our school.”

Please join us in giving Coach Pickett a warm Plain Dealing welcome as we prepare for a strong and spirited school year.
