It may be a little "squirrelly" around here as we begin our final sport of the year (Track,) prepare for testing, and prepare to say "see you later" to our 8th graders, but the work isn't done yet. We are excited to announce the RMS Legends of the Month- Ms. Ballard (Legendary Teacher of the Month) and Ms. Latimer (Legendary Support Person of the Month!) Both of these ladies hail from C-wing and have been leading our school through the spring season beyond the classroom. They both not only #LEAD students in classes, but they are also leading students through many extracurricular activities. "We're nuts about you" Ms. Ballard and Ms. Latimer! #RamsLEAD

The Louisiana Department of Education has named semifinalists for Louisiana Principal of the Year and finalists for New Teacher of the Year and two outstanding Bossier Parish educators made the cut!
Congratulations to Benton Intermediate School Principal Jennifer Burris for being named a Principal of the Year Semifinalist and Michael Shelton, who is a first-year teacher at Rusheon Middle School, as a New Teacher of the Year Finalist!
They will be celebrated and honored at a gala over the summer in New Orleans at which time the state winners will be announced.
