We are so excited to announce that our Sun City Elementary Talent Show is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to see our students shine! ⭐️✨

If your child is interested in participating, please be sure to:

✅ Complete the Google Form 👉 Talent Show Form

✅ Turn in the physical permission slip (sent home from school)

📅 Both the Google Form AND the permission slip must be completed and turned in by February 6.

🎨💜 Calling All Young Artists — It’s Time to PURPLE UP! 💜🎨

April is the Month of the Military Child, and the Bossier Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Purple Up T-Shirt Design Contest to celebrate our amazing military-connected students and their families!

✨ All students are invited to participate!
Students can submit an original T-shirt design that shows what military children and their families mean to them.

🗓 Deadline: February 2, 2026
🎁 Prize: A $200 gift card for each category winner — plus their design will be featured on local billboards and available for purchase across Bossier Parish Schools!

👕 Contest Details:
• Open to all students (Categories: K–5, 6–8, 9–12)
• Designs should use only 1–2 colors
• Design can be for the front or back of the shirt (not both)
• Must include student’s name, grade, and school on the back
• Theme: Honor the sacrifices military children make while their parent serves

Students are celebrating their mid-year successes and setting their own end-of-year W.I.G.s as they look ahead to the rest of the school year. Ask your student how they are making progress toward their end-of-year goals.💪

Our Lost & Found is full, and many items are still looking for their way home! Please take a few minutes to check the photo presentation linked below, which shows pictures of all current Lost & Found items.If you spot something that belongs to your child, please stop by and pick it up. Unclaimed items will be donated after a reasonable time.

Tomorrow is the Rudolph Run!

-Grade level times are listed on the graphic.
-Please make sure students wear warm athletic wear with a white/light colored t-shirt.
-They will want to bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case they get muddy.
-They must wear tennis shoes.

For students who are not participating: If you did not return your slip noting whether your student wanted to go to regular enrichment or be a spectator, please return it tomorrow. If we do not receive a slip for your child, your child will go to regular enrichment.

**We are closely monitoring the weather, and the event will be moved to Tuesday if necessary.

Mrs. Henry and Mrs. Hinderberger will read a Christmas bedtime story from their tent tonight at 8:00.
