The Commission for Women of Bossier City is seeking applications from high school senior girls for its 2025-26 mentoring program, which furthers its mission to empower young women.

Bossier Parish high school seniors are paired with Commissioners to develop their leadership skills, participate in team building and learn about etiquette, government, quality of life and much more. Mentees will also have the opportunity to apply for scholarships at the end of the year.
The deadline for applications to be turned in to high school senior counselors is noon on Friday, August 22.

Plantation Park Elementary was honored at the June 3 Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) meeting as a finalist for the Louisiana School Physical Activity Award!
👏 Principal Rachael Stroud proudly accepted the award, celebrating PPE’s commitment to keeping students active, engaged, and thriving—from PE classes to before- and after-school activities, family events, and even staff involvement!
