🏌️♀️🎉 Big congratulations to Benton High School's rising senior, Abigail McWilliams, who emerged victorious at the 96th Louisiana Golf Association Women’s Amateur Championship this past Sunday at Lake Charles Country Club. 🏆⛳️
The competition was fierce, with the tournament featuring a match-play format following an 18-hole qualifying round on Friday. But Abigail showcased her considerable skills, securing the championship title in style!
This win comes on the heels of another impressive achievement – in May, Abigail and her teammate Grace Goodwin clinched the Division I state championship for Benton. Let's all give a huge shoutout to Abigail for her outstanding accomplishments and wish her continued success in her golfing journey!

A word to the wise: be on the lookout for what could be a scam.
Several high schools throughout the state are getting reports of a site on social media asking for NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) donations on behalf of local schools and requesting student-athletes to download the app. This may be a scam.
Please do not respond to any site requesting NIL donations on behalf of any Bossier school or requesting you to download an app, because it is NOT legit.
Let's #WINtheDay the #BossierSchools way!

🏆🎯 CONGRATULATIONS to the Benton Middle School Tigers! 🎯🏆
The BIS 5th grade Archery team spent last week in Daytona Beach competing in the NASP World Open Archery Championship, and their hard work paid off BIG TIME! They took home the title of 2024 Bullseye WORLD CHAMPIONS with an outstanding score of 3204!
But that's not all – they also secured 2nd place in the 3D Targets category with an impressive score of 1599!
Their dedication and countless hours of practice throughout the school year and summer have truly paid off. Let's give a big shoutout to Coach Amber Craft and the team for all the hard work they put in throughout the school year and into the summer! Way to go Tigers!
