📣Attention HMS Lil Bucs Summer Cheer Camp Participants!!!📣
In place of the Community Spirit Night, all Lil Bucs who participated in our Summer Cheer Clinic on August 10, we invite you to show off your cheers with HMS Cheerleaders at our FIRST EVER home game on the new field!
🏈The game is Tuesday, 10/15, and starts at 5:00 pm. There will be a tshirt pickup table when you enter the gates. Lil Bucs Cheerleaders must sit with their parents or coach until the announcement is made for you to come down to the field. We will perform chants taught at the clinic on the track and show off some jumps and skills before the cheerleaders are released back to their parents.🏴☠️
📣📣📣To be clear, this is not a sign-up to participate in the event. This is a performance for those who participated in the August 10 clinic.

Please check your email to see if you received an email requesting records from our nurse Mrs. Sherri Oswalt. The email is about updated immunization records for students who are 11. If your child's records are up-to-date, you did not receive one.
Soccer will be here before you know it. Please note the boys and girls have different dates for tryouts. This allows football to finish before the boys have to try out.
There is a mandatory meeting for parents if your child intends to tryout.

If you attended HMS Literacy Night, you received a ticket for your child to have a jean and spirit shirt day. Students may redeem this on Monday, September 30. Your child must have their ticket.
All students who were present this week may wear a school appropriate hat to school tomorrow. The hat cannot have inappropriate sayings or pictures.
5th block teachers should have met with students who did not qualify.

NJHS is open to all 8th grade students who exemplify high academic standards and exemplary character. A formal induction ceremony will occur at a future date for all candidates who wish to join.

Students may wear jeans and a gold shirt on 9/26 for a $5 donation. Jeans must be blue in color, no holes or rips, and no designs. Jean shorts are not acceptable. Gold/yellow shirts must be appropriate length and cannot be a hoodie. Students who are not dressed appropriately will call home for a change of clothes.
Students will be dropped off in the carline.
Don't forget to support your HMS Cross Country Team while repping your Haughton spirit and purchase a Haughton Koozie! These can be purchased for $5.00 from Mrs. Addison in the front office. All proceeds go to HMS Cross Country.

Mrs. Loar’s 6th Grade APP math class reviewed for their Unit 1 Test today by playing Guarantee or Gamble! They worked with their groups to come up with the correct answers to the review problems. If they get it correct, they get to guarantee themselves 1000 points or take a gamble and spin the wheel!! See, math can be fun!
Don't forget students who were present all week get to wear Buccaneer shirts tomorrow. Remember no hoodies are allowed.
Last week, 6th grade science is learning about population stability, increaces, and decreases. They made birth and death token models (adding and taking away organisms) and graphed births and deaths over a period of time to show population stability, increasing, or decreasing over time.
