Candidates interested in danceline tryouts must meet the following requirements:
6th grade: Member of pep squad at Cope
7th grade: Member of pep squad, danceline or other performing group at Cope
If not a member of either spirit group listed above, please explain the reason in the space at the bottom of this form.
2.0 GPA or higher
No office referrals
Regular school attendance and good behavior
Parent must attend the mandatory meeting February 26th (approximately 6:30) in the Cope Cafeteria
Be able to attend clinic/tryouts March 16-19 after school until 4:00 and MANDATORY camp July 13-17 at Cope Middle School.

Wednesday, Feb 11 is our monthly KONA ICE day at Cope Middle. You can purchase a $5 snow cone electronically using this QR code OR bring $5 cash to purchase a snowcode after you eat lunch on Wednesday. All proceeds go towards CMS hospitality fund.

Congratulations to Mrs. McDaniel for being selected Teacher of the Week and Mrs. Coddington for support staff of the week. We appreciate all that you do!! Both are dedicated members of the CMS Staff. Mrs. McDaniel consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every student feels seen and supported. Whether they are developing innovative lesson plans or cheering on students at extracurricular events, their passion for education is evident. Mrs. Coddington wears multiple hats and steps in whenever and where ever she is called upon. Thank you for making the Cope difference!

CMS Cheer Tryouts:
Sign Up Form must be completed by Feb 13 at 2:30pm; No exceptions
To be eligible for tryouts you must meet the following requirements:
- 6th grade: Member of pep squad at Cope (if not explain below)
- 7th grade: Member of pep squad, danceline or other performing group at CMS (if not explain below)
- 2.0 GPA or higher
- Regular school attendance and good behavior
- 1 parent/guardian must attend the mandatory meeting Thursday, February 26th @ 6:30
(after the boy's basketball game) in the Cope cafeteria
- Be able to attend clinic/tryouts March 2-4 and tryouts on March 5 and if you make the squad a mandatory cheer camp in early July. Dates are being confirmed.

It is now time for our annual Purple Up t-shirt design contest in support of our military students. The Purple Up T-Shirt is a t-shirt to help celebrate the Month of the Military Child (April). This contest is open to ALL students, not just military students! Bossier Chamber of Commerce awards the winners with money!!!! Your design could be featured on t-shirts worn all over Bossier Parish!
